All of Rotex's Starters are 100% tested for Maximum Torque, Amperage Draw and Cranking RPM and subsequently meet or exceed OEM.
The above cut out view shows most of the components we replace, in addition we are proud to utilize the D&V ST-16 COMPUTERIZED LIVE FLYWHEEL BASED TESTER. This STATE OF THE ART tester has taken our starter production to a new level! These are just a few of the tests it performs:
Free Run Current, Free Run Speed, Solenoid Hold & Close, Solenoid Pull Voltage, Starter Current Max Under Load & Free Run, Ripple Current and Maximum Torque and most importantly it checks the commutator/brush ripple pattern. In plain English, it checks the seating of the brushes to the commutator of the armature. A detailed copy of each test result is included with EVERY unit. We never test a percentage of units we always test every single unit we produce to ensure maximum product reliability to you our valued customer.
All of Rotex's Alternators are 100% Computerized Tested for output ratings at variable loads and speeds. All regulator functions are measured.
With the ever increasing electrical loads being placed on both the battery and the charging systems (the alternator being the heart of it) it is imperative that the alternator's output be both adequate and reliable. We have invested heavily in our testing procedures both pre assembly and final production. We utilize the ALT 98 computerized testing machines because we believe they are the best money can buy.
As you can see in the cut out view above most components are replaced with either new or remanufactured parts and in addition the ALT 98 performs over 90 functions including the Voltage Regulator for both Input Voltage and output Voltage, it also tests the unit at variable speeds taking the unit to 6000RPM and changing the loads at these different speeds, this best replicates severe driving conditions that can't be achieved any other way short of mounting every unit in a real vehicle.
